Harbor Mountain Brewing Co. has produced hundreds of recipes and refreshing, sudsy beverages since 2020 when our doors first opened in Sitka. We are stoked to share some of our recent brews with you through this taproom archive.

Plant-Based Diet | 4.1%
Style: Lager with purple carrots
A hop forward but light lager. Carrots are present but not overpowering.
Malt: Superior Pilsen
Hops: CryoPop, Chinook, Mosaic in Boil and Dry Hop
Yeast: 34/70 German Lager
Flavor: Crisp lager with strong notes of citrus and pine resin from the hop profile Undertones of sweet carrot and bright carrot tops compliment the hops.
Spring Fling | 6.0%
Style: Semi-sweet cider with blueberry and hibiscus
Malt: Apple concentrate
Hops: None
Yeast: EC 1118 champagne
Flavor: Blueberry blended with the brighter, sharper, raspberry floral notes of dried hibiscus flowers.
Canopy Dreams | 6.3%
Style: Kettle Sour / Smoothie Sour
Our beer that tastes the least like traditional beer. Not bitter or hoppy at all. Sour, but balanced. The final product does contain lactose.
Malt: Two Row, Flaked Wheat, White Wheat, Lactose
Hops: Idaho 7 in Boil. No Dry Hop
Yeast: Lactobacteria fermented for 48hr to sour, then fermented with US-05 American Ale
Flavor: Very fruity sour beer from additions of Pineapple, Cara Cara Orange, and Guava during the boil and fermentation. Soft, creamy, mouth feel from the wheat and lactose.
Mama’s Little Kelper | 4.5%
Style: American Wheat with Kelp
Kelp notes are present, but not overpowering. Kelp is sourced from SeaQuester Farms in Juneau.
Malt: Superior Pilsen, Red Wheat
Hops: Hallertau Mittelfruh and kelp in Boil. Dry Hopped with Kelp
Yeast: US-05 American Ale
Flavor: A light, drinkable wheat beer. Sweet, bready wheat character from the malt combined with a slight salt brine from the kelp, and an earthy, spicy, herbal hop character.
Woodwind | 6.0%
Style: Saison / mixed culture
Aged for 8 months in neutral oak barrels. Complex and slight but not overwhelming funkiness. This beer was released to celebrate the Juneau Symphony’s concert.
Malt: Superior Pilsen, Munich, Spelt
Hops: Nelson Sauvin Dry Hop
Yeast: Napoleon French Saison, Brettanomyces
Flavor: Complex beer with light funky notes of barnyard / horse blanket from Brett yeast, oak from 8 months of barrel aging, some spicy phenols from saison yeast, and finally citrus and white grape from Nelson Sauvin hops.
Black Gold | 7.7%
Style: Imperial Stout with Coffee
Very coffee forward. Cold soaked 15lbs of Heritage brand (Juneau-based company) Sumatran coffee beans.
Malt: Two Row, Malted Oats, Chocolate, Caramel 60, Black Malt, Roast Barley
Hops: Cascade
Yeast: US-04 English Ale
Flavor: Strong flavor of black coffee / espresso layered with notes of chocolate, caramel apple, leather, and tobacco. Notes of apple esters from English ale yeast.
