Harbor Mountain Brewing Co. has produced hundreds of recipes and refreshing, sudsy beverages since 2020 when our doors first opened in Sitka. We are stoked to share some of our recent brews with you through this taproom archive.

Style: Hazy IPA
Malt: Two-Row
Hops: CryoPop, Ekuanot, Mosaic
Yeast: Kviek
Flavor: Strong hop flavor of citrus, stone fruit, and resin layered with fruity esters from the Kviek yeast strain.
This beer is a fundraiser for the Alaska Brewers Guild and their effort to change brewery laws in the state.
Spring Fling | 6.0%
Style: Semi-sweet cider with blueberry and hibiscus
Malt: Apple concentrate
Hops: None
Yeast: EC 1118 champagne
Flavor: Blueberry blended with the brighter, sharper, raspberry floral notes of dried hibiscus flowers.
Canopy Dreams | 6.3%
Style: Kettle Sour / Smoothie Sour
Sour and balanced.
Malt: Two-Row, Flaked Wheat, White Wheat
Hops: Idaho 7 in Boil
Yeast: Lactobacteria fermented for 48hr to sour, then fermented with US-05 American Ale
Flavor: Very fruity sour beer from additions of Pineapple, Cara Cara Orange, and Guava during the boil and fermentation. Soft, creamy, mouth feel from the wheat and lactose.
Mama’s Little Kelper | 4.5%
Style: American Wheat with Kelp
Kelp notes are present, but not overpowering. Kelp is sourced from SeaQuester Farms in Juneau.
Malt: Superior Pilsen, Red Wheat
Hops: Hallertau Mittelfruh and kelp in Boil. Dry Hopped with Kelp
Yeast: US-05 American Ale
Flavor: A light, drinkable wheat beer. Sweet, bready wheat character from the malt combined with a slight salt brine from the kelp, and an earthy, spicy, herbal hop character.
Woodwind | 6.0%
Style: Saison / mixed culture
Aged for 8 months in neutral oak barrels. Complex and slight but not overwhelming funkiness. This beer was released to celebrate the Juneau Symphony’s concert.
Malt: Superior Pilsen, Munich, Spelt
Hops: Nelson Sauvin Dry Hop
Yeast: Napoleon French Saison, Brettanomyces
Flavor: Complex beer with light funky notes of barnyard / horse blanket from Brett yeast, oak from 8 months of barrel aging, some spicy phenols from saison yeast, and finally citrus and white grape from Nelson Sauvin hops.
Black Gold | 7.7%
Style: Imperial Stout with Coffee
Very coffee forward. Cold soaked 15lbs of Heritage brand (Juneau-based company) Sumatran coffee beans.
Malt: Two-Row, Malted Oats, Chocolate, Caramel 60, Black Malt, Roast Barley
Hops: Cascade
Yeast: US-04 English Ale
Flavor: Strong flavor of black coffee / espresso layered with notes of chocolate, caramel apple, leather, and tobacco. Notes of apple esters from English ale yeast.
Plant-Based Diet | 4.1%
Style: Lager with purple carrots
A hop forward but light lager. Carrots are present but not overpowering.
Malt: Superior Pilsen
Hops: CryoPop, Chinook, Mosaic in Boil and Dry Hop
Yeast: 34/70 German Lager
Flavor: Crisp lager with strong notes of citrus and pine resin from the hop profile Undertones of sweet carrot and bright carrot tops compliment the hops.
Pocket Cruiser | 5.0%
Style: DH Hazy Pale Ale
Malt: Two-Row pale malt, chit malt, flaked oats, white wheat
Hops: Galaxy and El Dorado on the hot side and dry hop.
Yeast: A38 Juice strain
Flavor: Bright citrus, tropical fruit, and some melon. Round, smooth mouthfeel from oats and chit malt while still remaining a light and crushable profile.
Dry Dock | 6.5%
Style: West Coast IPA
Malt: Pilsner, Flaked Rice
Hops: Galaxy and Nelson Sauvin and Flex on the hot side. Dry hopped with Galaxy and Nelson Sauvin
Yeast: US-05 American Ale
Flavor: Dry and crisp west coast IPA with moderate bitterness levels. Flaked rice and Pilsner malt create a very light body. Galaxy and Nelson Sauvin hops add notes of papaya, white peaches, and honeydew melons.
Pit of Despair | 6.2%
Style: Rainier Cherry Cider
Malt: Apple Concentrate
Hops: None
Yeast: EC118-Champagne
Flavor: High quality farm-fresh, cherries bring a burst of natural flavor and acidity to this dry cider. We love this cider!
Bud Breaker | 4.5%
Style: Spruce Tip Blonde
Malt: Pilsner, Vienna, Biscuit, Honey, Caramel-10
Hops: Elani
Yeast: US-05 American Ale
Flavor: The lightly roasted, subtle malt profile adds notes of fresh biscuits and homemade toast. Addition of spruce tips impart a sweeter, lemony flavor mixed with notes of raspberry. Fruity and berry notes come through in this ale.

Style: Dopplebock conditioned on Figs
Malt: Two-Row, Munich, Melanoidin, C-60
Hops: Saaz
Yeast: 34/70 German Lager
Flavor: Rich malty notes of figgy, jammy goodness. Smooth and complex. A little nutty.
Hanging Valley | 5.1%
Style: Mixed Culture Saison
Malt: Superior Pilsen, Bru Malt, Vienna, Caramel 60, Roast Barley
Hops: Cascade, Centennial
Yeast: EC 1118 Champagne, Brettanomyces
Flavor: Rich, malty body with some caramel and leather beneath notes of stone fruit, honey, and a lightly sour, funky citrus. Balanced and crisp.

Style: Wheat Saison w/ Rhubarb
Malt: Raw Alaskan Red Wheat (Fairbanks), Rye, Two Row
Hops: Hallertau Mittelfruh
Yeast: Napolean French Saison
Flavor: Spicy and fruity ester notes. Rustic earthiness with light tartness from the rhubarb.
